Meet Dr. Jessica Rolynn
Dr. Rolynn was born and raised in Northern Idaho. She graduated from Lewis-Clark State College Summa Cum Laude, graduated with her MD from the University of Washington School of Medicine as a Targeted Rural and Underserved Track (TRUST) scholar and completed her residency at the ISU Family Medicine Residency. As a member of the queer community, she understands the unique challenges that marginalized individuals face when trying to access safe, affordable healthcare. She takes a trauma-informed approach to history gathering and treatment.
For her, medicine is about more than what happens in the clinic. It is also about advocating for patients and teaching the broader community. Dr. Rolynn has participated in leadership roles with the Idaho Academy of Family physicians, serving on committees in Reproductive Health and Diversity Equity Inclusion and Belonging. She is currently a member of the American Medical Academy Task Force to preserve physician patient relationships where Evidence-Based Medicine has been legislated against. Dr. Rolynn often has students and residents training alongside her.
A fierce advocate for preventative medicine, Dr. Rolynn works with patients to stop diseases before they develop and prevent progression in preexisting conditions. She aims to empower people to set their own health goals and achieve them.
